This is the 11th Movement of Chronicles of Winter.  In The Devouring, all the players in The Girl’s life come together as the circle of wolves closes in. The chorus reminds her that everything comes with a price and the price is proportional to its worth.  Her search through the woods exacted a lethal toll, yet in the end, she understands this has always been the agreement. This realization transforms her final moments from harrowing to hallowed. Death is just as important (or unimportant) as birth. They are both part of the circle. It is up to us to find meaning in the circling.
