This is the 5th Movement of Chronicles of Winter.  In this movement, the fire that The Girl lit to fend of the wolves begins to die down, inviting contemplation. She recalls how her father warned her about life’s dangers. She wonders how she found herself out alone on this cold winter night when it all started in a sunny meadow?
